Islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Parks in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah



Tunku Abdul Rahman Parks are one of the famous places to visit in Sabah. Maybe, all of tourist whose visit Sabah will not miss to go these places. It is very famous for you to enjoy a sea view while do a snorkeling and more deep while do a scuba diving with a white sand alongside with a sea shore.

In this parks, there are 5 type of islands such as Gaya (big), Manukan (fish), Mamutik (for shell collection), Sapi (the sound of mowing buffalo), and Sulug (ancestry of the Sulu peoples of Sabah).

1. Gaya Island
The most beautiful and biggest islands among the islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Parks. The length of beach around 400 metres make it the best place for visitors to do a picnic. This place is rich with flora and fauna that make is more natural place to visit. 

2. Manukan Island

Manukan is a second biggest islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Parks. There is a facility provided to ease a visitor to make their activities such as a chalet, restaurant and diving centre. With a coral and clear sea, this is one of the best place to do snorkeling and diving.

3. Sapi Island
Sapi is a third biggest island of Tunku Abdul Rahman Parks. It is difference with Gaya and Manukan which this islands is not develop in facilities. But, it is still a good place to snorkeling and diving.

4. Mamutik Island
Mamutik is a fourth biggest island of Tunku Abdul Rahman Parks. The condition is same with Sapi island such as less of facilities but suitable for snorkeling and diving. But, there is only one difference which is this island is more big than Sapi. So, it is more suitable for family trip. But you need to remember that this island is a last trip of package. So, please don't miss your boat.

5. Sulug Island
Sulug island is a small island than another islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Parks. It has a good natural look but it is far and not popular among tourist so there is no package trip to go here.
